FeaturesExperts in high volume digitisationFrom Document Manager Magazine Vol 18 No 03 - June 2010 Genus IT is attending all four days of the AIIM Roadshow with "High Volume Digitisation" being the theme of their show. They will be exhibiting products for both paper document conversion and microfilm conversion. Genus has been involved in a number of high volume digitisation projects, and is keen to demonstrate to the market the expertise and specialist solutions it can deliver Paper Scanners - Genus is the exclusive UK and Irish distributor for the recently re-designed Inotec 400 Series document scanners. These production scanners are designed for large volume end user clients in insurance, NHS, census, election and mailroom applications as well as busy document conversion bureaux. Built in Germany, these recently redesigned scanners have not been seen in the UK before and are extremely robust, with the manufacturer imposing no daily throughput limits to its production capabilities. The Inotec range comprises 3 throughput speed versions - 90ppm, 120ppm and 150ppm, all configurable as either mono or colour, simplex or duplex devices.
Microfilm/Microfiche Scanners - Many large conversion projects have an element of microfilm, microfiche or aperture card conversion in addition to the main paper document conversion aims of the project. Genus is the exclusive UK and Irish distributor for the Wicks and Wilson production Microform scanners and will have an FS300 Microfiche Scanner available for demonstration. The FS300 is the first choice for many microfiche conversion projects for organisations such as DVLA, Williams Lea, Rolls-Royce and Iron Mountain. The FS300 has proved to be extremely reliable, often working 24 hour shifts for months at a time. GenusOnline - A new product offering from Genus is a sophisticated, yet easy to use online document storage product for those clients wishing to view, access and store their digital documents online once the digital images have been created from paper or microfilm. GenusOnline has been designed to integrate with the Inotec paper scanners and Wicks and Wilson microfilm scanners as well as all other manufacturers' products. The pricing model is simple and economic, even allowing users to have their own personalised version of this product, should they require.
